SARAH

Hello! I’m Sarah, a professional hair and make up artist in Birmingham. I LOVE my job; meeting people, making them feel good about themselves and being part of the happiest days of their lives - here is an introduction to my story and a little bio so you can get to know me!

EXPERIENCE

I have been a hairdresser specialising in haircutting and styling for over fifteen years and a bridal hair and make up artist for ten years. I am also a qualified teacher of hair and make up and love sharing my knowledge and skills with aspiring hair and make up students.

PASSION

I am very passionate about wedding hair and make up and love making people look and feel beautiful. I love everything to do with weddings - the dresses, flowers, venues, creating connections and hearing your engagement stories!
I love the excitement that goes with sharing such a special occasion with someone on their wedding morning and depending on the vibe I will be a bride’s biggest hype girl or create a calming, peaceful safe space to settle nerves and relax you on a wedding morning.

On the other side of my business, I also really enjoy seeing my regulars for haircuts every few weeks - it’s these clients who become friends, and I’m all about updates and chats whenever we meet!

EXPERTISE

My passion is relaxed, boho bridal hairstyles and natural make up (or natural glam for those looking for a little extra sparkle!) and my area of expertise focuses on brides who want to ‘feel like themselves, just their very best version’ on their wedding day. I love glowing skin and enhancing a bride’s natural beauty.

LET’S GET PERSONAL

In my free time I enjoy quality time with friends and walks with my Border Terrier, Gary! I’m a nature, gym and fitness lover who delights in the great outdoors. I’m an avid reader of fantasy and fiction books, comedy fan, podcast listener and LOVE to travel.

I’m a positive person with excitable energy, a dry sense of humour and I love meeting new people, especially incredible women! I’m also obsessed with the colour pink and anything covered in glitter.

I have lived in a few places throughout the UK including Brighton where I previously owned a hair and make up business in Brighton called Powder and Pin which I sold in 2020 when I moved to the Midlands. Birmingham is now ‘home’ and this city is really special to me!

Qualifications & recognitions

I am proud to have received diplomas in bridal and vintage hair and make up from Brighton Make up School and to of had my work featured on some amazing wedding blogs including 'Love My Dress', 'Rock My Wedding' and 'Whimsical Wonderland Weddings' and also on TV’s Channel Four.

Further qualifications include my National Hairdressers Federation Certificate of Apprenticeship and a City and Guilds qualification.

I am fully insured for all services provided.
