Sarah and Jamie's Wedding at Thorpe Garden!
Sarah and Jamie got married on Monday 23rd August 2021 (I love a Monday wedding - what an amazing way to start the week!) at the beautiful Thorpe Garden wedding venue in Staffordshire.
It was a fresh, dewy morning when I arrived at Saxon Meadows in Tamworth, Sarah’s bridal prep accommodation, to start hair and make up at 7am and with lots of hair and make up to style (Sarah’s bridal hair and make up, four bridesmaids, Mother of the bride and groom AND wee flower girl Nancy!) the morning whizzed by in a flurry of excitement!
With a gorgeous bridal party, fabulous family and beautiful bride I loved every moment of the styling preparations and was so glad I got to be part of this special wedding!
When I met Sarah for her bridal hair and make up trial three months prior to her and Jamie’s wedding, we instantly hit it off chatting about our favourite TV shows, make up, skin care and I loved hearing all about their wedding plans - I knew when I left Sarah’s house their wedding was a date to look forward to amidst a very busy summer of hair and make up!
Sarah’s make up look was natural with full coverage and just the right amount of make up for the camera. We went for pinky tones on the eyes, using Urban Decay’s ‘On The Run Palette’ which went beautifully with Sarah’s complexion and agreed that Mac ‘Patisserie’ was the perfect lipstick shade for the occasion! Sarah’s bridal hair was styled into a low, messy and relaxed bun with a braid, finished beautifully with delicate pearls.

Sarah’s beautiful, boho inspired dress was from Dotty Bridal in Yorkshire and her gorgeous cake was by @akbakesx on Instagram. Bride, bridesmaid and buttonhole flowers were by @isherwoodandco and Thorpe Garden, the stunning staffordshire wedding venue was the beautiful setting for Sarah and Jamie’s wedding!
