COVID-19 UPDATES

The safety and wellbeing of my clients is very important to me and since returning to work after lockdown in July I have been following government safety guidelines closely. I have created this page to inform everyone of the new safety measures I’ll be carrying out before, during and after appointments and if you have any concerns please feel welcome to get in touch.

PPE and Face Coverings

I am required to wear a face mask and visor whilst performing close contact services which I will be wearing upon arrival to your home and throughout the appointment. Clients will be required to wear a face mask when having their hair done (this is not applicable for make up services).

Brushes and Equipment

I have a portable sterilisation bag which uses UVC light to disinfect all my brushes, combs, scissors and equipment between clients and each household. I will also be carrying antibacterial hand gel on me at all times to ensure my hands are clean although this is nothing new, I have always used hand gel vigorously and kept my kit sanitised!

Gowns

I will provide a fresh, clean gown for each household. Some of these are reusable, such as the traditional nylon hairdressing gowns, and some are disposable capes. If you have your own gown which you would like to use I am happy for you to wear this although it is not essential.

Clean Space

If clients could ensure I have a clean area to put my equipment during their appointment this is greatly appreciated. I don't need much space so please don't worry about clearing a huge area for me, just a 30cm square space where I can place my scissors, comb and brushes while I'm working is perfect.

Dry Trims

If you'd like to reduce the time of your appointment for various reasons I am happy to offer dry trims (I don't offer wet cuts) or some people may like to wash their hair before I arrive. Please just let me know if you don't want your usual cut and blow-dry so I can adjust the timing of your appointment.

Make up

All my make up and kit is meticulously cleaned to make it safe and sanitised for each client. I have a three step system at home for cleaning my brushes which involves washing them thoroughly before placing in my sterilisation bag once dry.

I use antibacterial make up setting spray by The Pro Hygiene Collection to eliminate bacteria from palettes and use individual lip and mascara brushes on each client. I have always been fanatical about hygiene when it comes to my kit however I would like to reassure everyone that during these times I am more meticulous in cleaning my kit than ever before.

Payment Methods

All payment methods as before are still accepted (cash, bank transfer or cheque). For those of you who would like to make future payments via bank transfer to minimise money handling/contact I can send you my bank details, please just let me know before the appointment if you would like to pay this way.
